Jim Koch, founder and CEO of Boston Brewing, which produces the popular “Samuel Adams” line of beer, praised President Trump for his tax cuts during a recent dinner.
“The tax reform was a very big deal for all of us, because 85 percent of the beer made in the United States is owned by foreign companies,” Koch told Trump, explaining that his policies have made the business climate in the US easier for manufacturers to compete.
“We were paying 38 percent taxes, and competing against people who were paying 20,” Koch explained, adding, “And now we have a level playing field, and we’re going to kick their ass!”
